The American Civil Liberties Union and ACLU of Texas moved to intervene in a Texas lawsuit that seeks to block the Biden administration’s 100-day moratorium on deportations.
The Biden administration announced the policy on Jan. 20, and the state of Texas immediately challenged it in court. The ACLU filed an amicus brief supporting the Biden administration, followed by the motion to intervene.
On Jan. 26, a court granted a temporary restraining order, temporarily blocking the Biden administration.
