Julie Sweet is the Director of Policy and Government Affairs, Liberty at the ACLU. She led the organization’s team of strategists, lobbyists and policy counsels responsible for advancing policy to protect and expand reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ equality, women’s rights, and disability rights. For nearly twenty years, Julie has been advising many of the progressive movement’s leading elected officials, policy experts, and strategists on messaging and communications strategy to advance economic opportunity and political power for women and BIPOC communities.
