Bio

Ana Sofia Barrios is a Family Reunification Paralegal in the Immigrants’ Rights Project. Before joining the IRP, Ana Sofia worked as a development associate at the Brennan Center for Justice. She also served as the development and communications coordinator for New York Justice for our Neighbors and served as a legal translator for the Immigrant Rights Clinic at Columbia Law School. Previously, she participated in the creation of an Oral History Archive documenting the lived experience of migrants separated at the U.S./Mexico border, acted as a program assistant at the New Sanctuary Coalition’s Pro-Se Legal Clinic, co-founded the satellite legal clinic Students for Sanctuary, and interned at the Office of U.S Senator Bill Nelson of Florida. She graduated with a B.A in Political Science and Latin American Studies from Columbia University.
